PADI Advanced Open Water Course
Do you want to:
- broaden your dive horizon;
- make deeper dives;
- make special dives, like night dives or wreck dives
then follow the Advanced Open Water Course. This course is meant for you, if you want to gain more experience after you Open Water certification. After completing this course, a wide variety of new diving possibilities opens up to you.
The main objective of this course is to become more experienced. Therefore, the theory part of this course is limited. Most of the theory is already shared with you during the pre-dive briefings. The main focus is to experience diving under different circumstances.
There are 2 mandatory dives that you need to make:
- A deep dive, with a maximum depth of deeper than 18 meters, but no deeper than 30 meters. During the briefing you will learn about the considerations preceding a deep dive and off course you will experience the depth yourself.
- A navigation dive, during which you learn how to keep your orientation during your dives, by means of navigation on your compass and by using your surroundings to navigate upon.
There are 3 additional dives you need to make during this course. Together with your instructor you can determine what these dives might be. You can choose dives like:
- Night diving (highly recommended!)
- Search and recovery
- Underwater photography
- Wreck diving
- Underwater biology
- Boat Diving
- Peak Performance Buoyancy
And other dives.
