City trips
If you want to do something else for a day, we are happy to arrange a trip to one of the mayor cities in the south of Egypt. Because of the distances involved, you should count on full day trips.
Hurghada
Hurghada is a modern city at the Red Sea to the north of Deep South, which caters to a lot of tourists for there are many resorts in the surrounding area. So you can find restaurants, shops and shisha bars there. It's about a 3 hour drive from Deep South, but worth your while if you want to do some souvenir shopping.
Luxor
Luxor is situated on the eastern bank of the Nile river, some 350 km from Deep South. Next to Luxor of course, you can find Karnak, the ancient temple complex and the Valley of the Kings. So if you want to combine shopping with visiting temples or tombs, this is the place to be.
Aswan
Aswan is the southern most city in Egypt, at the end of the navigational Nile. A boat ride through the cataract in Aswan is something you won't forget. The granite quarry where an unfinished obelisk lies or a visit to the botanical garden at Kitchener island are also nice outings. Aswan is a 350 km drive from Deep South.
